The butterfly bushes have been doing their duty these last few weeks. I’ve seen a few monarchs and other butterflies, and then the other day I was treated to seeing this female Black Swallowtail.
I was really pleased to get some in-focus photos, since she was flapping her wings like a mofo and moving around a lot. Finally I was able to get close to her.
She sampled both the ‘Evil Ways’ and the ‘Black Knight’ pictured here. Gorgeous!
