Blythe freebie! Ripple Afghan pattern

It’s afghan season and I decided that my Blythes needed to be included.

Presenting the Ripple Afghan for Blythe! It’s a free pattern! Happy afghan season!

Willow under a Ripple Afghan for Blythe

I wanted this blanket to be a lap blanket size, though of course you could make it larger if you wanted to. I like a lap blanket for sitting around and I figure Blythes might also like the same.

Isn’t it cozy? I kind of want to make a human sized one for myself, too, except I have too much holiday gift-knitting on my to-do list right now.

Coraline likes blankets. Karl was replacing the blankets in the dogs’ crates today while we were doing laundry, and she was all over the place, trying to get under/climb on/chew on/flail around in the blankets. So we need some more blankets now, just to make him happy. I’ve looked at the best wool blankets, trying to find one that is a good price but still cozy enough for this silly dog.

I took about twenty pics, all of which were super blurry and/or looked like an indiscernible lump under a blanket, except this one, in which she is at least identifiable.

Brod-in-the-box

Brodie is afraid of boxes. He’s also afraid of laundry baskets and pretty much any other vessel that is larger than he is that has only one open end (with the HUGE exception of his crate – he sleeps there every night, often hangs out there by choice in the day, and has no problem with it whatsoever). We had a big box around today so we decided to see if we could coax him in by putting his blanket in. He was a little bit trepidatious at first but it didn’t take him long to make himself at home.
