I participated in another swap recently as part of Virtual BlytheCon. Since the con theme was nautical, this swap was called Secret Sailor, and we all made something for our swap recipient fairly quickly following the nautical theme. I made a sweater for my swap recipient:
I haven’t done a skinny stripe like that before (that I can recall anyway) and I was really pleased with how the anchor turned out. My recipient liked it!
And I received my package, which was CHOCK FULL of awesomeness. Seriously, my swap gifter went overboard! (haha, *kneeslap*)
See?! She made TWO dresses, and added in fabric, ribbon, charms, a castaway bottle filled with glitter, and two Blythe-scale swords!
These dresses are SO cute! The one above has a small wrinkle it no doubt got while en route, but I was so excited to take pics that I didn’t take time to iron it first. I love this style – it fastens around the neck and is just a perfect design for summer.
And this one has a very posh ribbon around the neck, and shiny gold stars!
I adore this sword! Isn’t it awesome how she’s all demure and proper with her dress and ribbon and then like, WHA-CHA! Watch out for my sword!
I just got my swap package from the June Blythe Swap and it is AWESOME! I was so excited that I got paired up with Holly, who I met last summer at Angela‘s Blythe meetup. Holly also has a Boston Terrier, likes skulls, and has probably a bunch of other stuff in common with me.
She put together a picnic package! How cool is that?
Check it totally out! She included a ton of supa cute stuff:
I had noticed this dress in Holly’s photostream recently and admired it greatly, and she totally sent it to me! I love it. I think that I especially like it because I wouldn’t necessarily think to put these two fabrics together, but they work together really well.
And check out these sneakers:
Skully! Totally my fave. Here’s Willow modeling the shoes, hairband, and dress together. And with a cupcake in her pocket!
Thanks mega, Holly!
The July swap sign-up is open right now, and the theme is “Road Trip” – I’m looking forward to it!
